The Best Way to Start Your Day with Heather watson

Have you ever wondered why you never seem to be able to complete your tasks?

  • Have you considered this could be because you are trying to do too much at once?
  • Are you becoming overwhelmed and overloaded?
  • Are you a busy fool?
  • Do you find little or no time to relax?

·  You may find that you are struggling to get to sleep, suffering from broken sleep or just not sleeping at all?

1. Get yourself a pen and paper and write down 3 main goals you need to achieve today.

Don’t over complicate your day, concentrate on the 3 things that you’d like to complete today.  You may ask “but what if I have more than 3 goals?” stop and ask yourself about each goal “Do I really have to do this today? Can this wait till tomorrow or another day? Can someone else support me by taking on this goal?” The trick here is to not overwhelm yourself and to not set yourself up for self-disappointment.

2. Underneath each goal write down what you need to do to achieve that goal.

These become your sub goals.

3. Underneath your sub goals write down what tasks you need to do to achieve each sub goal.

These become your sub goal tasks.

4. Underneath your sub goal tasks write down any smaller task or tasks you need to complete to achieve each sub goal task.

5. Keep repeating this process until you have reached the very first thing you need to do.

This is where you are going to start the journey to achieving your goal.

6. As you complete each of your tasks tick off as completed.

Ticking off as you go will give you self-motivation as you achieve each task. It will spur you on to get the next one completed.

7. Keep ticking off your tasks until you reach your sub goal.

Well done! How simple was that? You are nearly there, you’ve nearly reached your main goal.

8. Repeat the entire process for each sub goal until they are all completed.

Congratulations on completing your main goal! Amazing!

 9. Follow this process for each goal you have set for yourself.

You are now looking back at your day, having achieved your 3 main goals. Can you imagine the feeling?

10.  Write down at the end of each day how the process has made you feel.

This will reaffirm a sense of achievement, contentment and fulfilment. Ultimately leading you to a more relaxed mind and a good night’s sleep.

If you complete 3 goals a day for a month, using my method, can you visualise what your life will look like? How much will you have accomplished? How good will you feel?

I hope you all enjoy my easy to follow goal setting process and please let me know how you get on.

Much love to you all

Heather
